XFX rolls out a new HD 6850

Dual fans

To make the wait for Cayman based cards a bit more bearable, XFX has prepared yet another card based on the now quite famous Barts GPU - the HD 6850 Dual Fan edition.

Despite the fact that it has a non-reference dual fan cooler, the card is still working at reference clocks. So, you are looking at a standard Barts GPU with 960 Stream processors, clocked at 775MHz for the GPU and 4000MHz for 1GB of GDDR5 memory. Of course, the card comes with a 256-bit memory interface.

The new card comes with the same backplate you might've seen on previous HD 6850 cards so you can expect two DVIs, HDMI and Displayport outputs as well as XFX's custom exhaust grill. The best part is that XFX is currently working on its HD 6850 Dual Fan Black Edition, so it shouldn't be long until this one hits retail as well.

The plain HD 6850 Dual Fan is already listed all around Europe with a €192,90 price tag. Scan.co.uk also has the card listed for £157.07 inc. VAT.
