Patriot announces Mac series SSDs and SODIMM memory

Patriot has updated its line of memory and SSD products with Mac Series XT SSDs and SODIMM memory that are optimized to work with all the latest and popular Apple Mac products.

The Mac Series XT SSD lineup with be available in 60, 120 and 240GB capacities and feature Sandforce SF-2281 controller, MLC NAND flash chips and SATA 6.0Gbps interface. According to Patriot Memory, these ones will deliver read and write speeds of up to 520MB/s and 500MB/s with maximum 4K random write set at 80,000 IOPS. The Mac series XT SSD lineup will also feature TRIM support as well as DuraClass and Durawrite tech support.

As far as the lineup goes, Patriot didn't reveal many details but for now we are looking at 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3-1333MHz CL9 SODIMM kit as well as 8GB DDR3-1333 CL9 and 2GB DDR3-1333 CL9 standalone SODIMM modules.

Unfortunately, the price or the actual availability date haven't been announced.
