The rumoured HTC Edge is on the way

According to an invitation sent out by HTC's PR team, it appears that a big announcement that may include the recently rumoured HTC Edge Tegra 3 quad-core smartphone should happen on February 26th, a day before the Mobile World Congress 2012 starts.

The quad-core Tegra 3 HTC Edge smartphone is a most likely candidate for the big announcement as there has been a certain amount of info regarding it and the device has even been pixellized. In case you missed it, the rumoured specs include a quad-core 1.5GHz clocked Tegra 3, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in memory, 8MP camera and a 4.7-inch 720p screen, all running on Android 4.0 ICS OS.

Over last few years, HTC waited for the MWC opening day to announce its new devices but now it looks like a different story. Of course, it might have something to do with the fact that some other manufacturers decided to hold their events on the same day.

You can find more info here.
