LG X3 running on Ice Cream Sandwich

Following the recent rumours regarding a couple of quad-core smartphones that might be officially announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month, it appears that LG wants a piece of the action and its rumoured X3 smartphone might be the one to get it.

Rumoured specs put Nvidia's Tegra 3 processor behind a rather large 4.7-inch 720p screen and inside a slim 9mm thick thin body. The rest of the specs include an 8MP back and 1.3MP front camera, 16GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, NFC chip, and capacitive buttons.

The smartphone should end up with Google's latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version and pack a 2000mAh battery. The new LG X3 smartphone should, if announced at MWC, appear sometime by the end of Q2 this year.

You can check out more details as well as the first leaked picture here.
