Samsung Exynos 5250 to ship in Q2

Written by Fudzilla staff

Coming to phones and tablets

Samsung’s Exynos 5250 SoC is expected to enter mass production in the second quarter and the new chip is expected to end up in both tablets and phones.

The 5250 is a 2GHz part based on the two Cortex A15 cores. It was touted as Samsung’s next tablet chip, as it supports resolutions up to 2560x1600, but now it seems Samsung will use it in high-end phones as well.

Of course, the Exynos 5250 will end up in tablets first, but we should see some phones based on the new chip later in the year.
