95W TDP quad, six and eight-core
According to a leaked slide over at Donanimhaber.com, it appears that AMD is preparing three new FX-Seris CPUs that will retain the 95W TDP, the quad-core FX-4150, six-core FX-6120 and the eight-core FX-8140.
The top of the line, there's the FX-8140 eight-core with 16MB of cache. It is set to work at 3.2GHz with 4.1GHz Turbo core. According to the slide, will join the rest of the eight-core FX-Series pack, the FX-8120 and the FX-8100 and last, at least, until Q4 2012.
The next in line is the six-core FX-6120 with 14MB of cache, working at 3.5GHz and 4.1GHz with Turbo Core. It is a minor speed bump from the FX-6100 that works at 3.3/3.9GHz. The last, but not the least is the quad-core FX-4150 with 12MB of cache. This one works at 3.9GHz with 4.1GHz Turbo Core and is a decent clock bump from the FX-4100 set to work at 3.6/3.8GHz.
The entire lineup will still have the same 95W TDP and should co-exist with the rest of the lineup until Q4 2012, according to the leaked roadmap slide. Unfortunately, the price or the precise launch date haven't been released but you can expect them to show up somewhere around March.
